Macbook Finally Fixed!
This is my first post in a long time and I apologise for that. I’ve been taking a break from OSXBlog mainly because of my troubles with my Macbook. I’ve got a PC but I just didn’t feel the need to post about Mac from my PC.
My Macbook has been working on and off for past few months now. Basically you go to turn it on and nothing but a white light and the fan noise. I took it into the Apple store and they told me it could be the RAM I installed. I couldn’t find the original RAM I probally lost it when I moved house. I bought some original Macbook RAM off eBay and took it to the Apple store. The guy told me it was very stange what was happening and only rarely has he heard of it happen before. 2 days later I got the call telling me it was ready so I went in and collected it. They replaced the Logic board and I think the CPU & Heatsink.
It’s all working great now and it even sleeps and wakes up properly! I’ve ordered 2GB RAM off Crucial which should be here tuesday or wednesday (damn easter holidays).
