Sega Classics on your Mac

Ever thought about buying an old Sega games console to play some of those classic games again? Well don’t! You can play all the old Sega classics right here on your Mac.

Things you’ll need:
Genesis Plus v1.2.8 (download link near bottom)
Emulator Enhancer v2.1.1 (download link near bottom)
Game roms. These can be easily downloaded at rom-world. Simply type in the name of the game you want, and click on the result listed. Just make sure it says “Sega master system” next to the link. Those are the ones you want.

Ok so you’ve downloaded Genesis Plus and copied it to your Applications folder (or whereever you want). Now you’ll need to install Emulator Enhancer.
Once Emulator Enhancer is downloaded copy it to ‘Macintosh HD, Library, Application support’. Make sure you copy the whole folder over not just the file.

That’s it! Open up Genesis Plus and select your downloaded Rom and it should start playing. If you’re using a Macbook or a widescreen display you might want to go Preferences and change the Aspect Ratio to 16:9 Corrected. Oh and go to the Joysticks tab and click ‘Configure Keyboard…” there you can setup your key settings. I simply set my ‘D’ key to jump for Sonic.

Enjoy!
